Career adaptability is a crucial psychosocial resource enabling individuals to cope with the demands and transitions of the contemporary labor market. However, many vocational high school students demonstrate insufficient adaptability, which may hinder their career readiness. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of Life Design Counseling in enhancing students’ career adaptability. A quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design was employed involving nine participants. The intervention was conducted in seven sessions using the Career Construction Interview framework. The results revealed a significant increase in the mean score from 149.556 to 172.556. The paired sample t-test indicated a significant difference (p = 0.002 < 0.05), confirming the effectiveness of the intervention. These findings suggest that Life Design Counseling provides a meaningful narrative-based approach to strengthen students’ career adaptability. This study contributes to the development of career guidance practices in vocational education by integrating narrative and constructivist approaches.
