This study aims to describe the basic dance movements and identify Sasak dance movement standards found in Sorong Serah Dance created by Sanggar Gedeng Kedaton, Lendang Nangka Village, Masbagik District, East Lombok. The study employed a qualitative approach using basic dance movement and movement-standard theories. Data were collected through participant observation, structured interviews, and documentation in the form of photographs, recordings, and performance videos. The main data source was the practice of Sorong Serah Dance at Sanggar Gedeng Kedaton and information provided by Lalu Malik Hidayat as a practitioner and leader of the studio. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification, while data credibility was examined through source triangulation. The findings show that Sorong Serah Dance contains the three fundamental elements of dance: wiraga, wirama, and wirasa, expressed through Adeg, Ngecok, Nyaok, Nyumping, Nyede, Ngebah Songkep, Nyirah, Ulap, Narung, Njar-njar, Angin Sayong, Marut, and Ngenson. The identification of movement standards indicates specific rules concerning body, hand and foot positions, movement direction, and the use of Kemosak property. Several foot positions identified include Tapak Seliwah, Tapak Tepah, Tapak Ngantep, and the Nyekung sitting position. These findings demonstrate that Sorong Serah Dance is not merely a performance choreography but also contains a structured movement system that can support documentation and learning of Sasak traditional dance.
