Household kitchen waste is an abundant organic resource that is often discarded without proper utilization, despite its potential to support sustainable agriculture. This community engagement program was conducted to improve the knowledge and practical skills of members of the Werdiguna Women's Farmer Group in Ubung Kaja, Denpasar, in converting household kitchen waste into liquid organic fertilizer for orchid cultivation. Activities included educational sessions, practical training, fertilizer application, and follow-up monitoring. Vegetable scraps and fruit peels were processed into liquid organic fertilizer using simple and affordable techniques that could be easily adopted by the community. Program evaluation showed that participants gained better understanding and confidence in producing and applying liquid organic fertilizer. The activity also encouraged more sustainable household waste management, reduced reliance on inorganic fertilizers, and promoted environmentally friendly orchid cultivation. Beyond improving cultivation practices, the program fostered greater awareness of resource recycling and demonstrated that household organic waste can be transformed into a valuable agricultural input. These findings highlight the importance of community-based initiatives in supporting sustainable horticulture while contributing to waste reduction and environmental conservation.
