This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of Grade IV students in Pancasila Education at SDN 19 Sungai Talang. The problem was caused by a teacher-centered learning approach that limited students’ active participation in the learning process. This study aimed to determine the effect of the deep learning approach on students’ learning outcomes in Pancasila Education. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a posttest nonequivalent control group design. The population consisted of all Grade IV students at SDN 19 Sungai Talang, totaling 39 students. The sample included 19 students in the experimental class and 20 students in the control class. Data were collected using a 30-item multiple-choice test and analyzed using an independent sample t-test. The results indicated that the t-count value was 4.052, which was higher than the t-table value of 1.687 at a significance level of 5% (α = 0.05). Therefore, the alternative hypothesis was accepted. The findings revealed that the deep learning approach had a significant effect on students’ learning outcomes in Pancasila Education. Thus, the deep learning approach is effective in improving students’ cognitive learning outcomes.
