This study aimed to determine the effect of using audio-visual media on the learning outcomes of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) among fifth-grade students at SD Inpres Tanetea, Bantaeng Regency. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 40 students, with 20 students in the experimental class and 20 students in the control class. Learning outcome data were collected using multiple-choice tests and analyzed through descriptive statistics, normality and homogeneity tests, paired-samples t-tests, and an independent-samples t-test. The experimental class mean score increased from 68.50 on the pretest to 89.65 on the posttest, while the control class mean increased from 67.50 to 74.75. The independent-samples t-test showed t = 13.538, df = 38, and Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05, with a mean difference of 14.900. Thus, the null hypothesis was rejected. The findings indicate that audio-visual media had a significant effect on fifth-grade students’ IPAS learning outcomes and can be used as an alternative instructional medium to support more concrete and engaging learning.
