<![CDATA[Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is a crucial aspect of construction project execution to minimize the risk of workplace accidents. Although the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory as part of OHS implementation, worker compliance remains low across various construction projects, thereby increasing accident risks, particularly in irrigation construction projects. Therefore, identifying factors related to PPE compliance is necessary as a basis for developing strategies to enhance safety culture. This study aims to analyze the relationship between education level, age, and length of service with PPE compliance among workers in the Irrigation Project of Langda Village, Buntu Batu District, Enrekang Regency. The study employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design involving 24 respondents. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed using univariate analysis and the Chi-Square test. The results showed that 75% of workers were categorized as compliant in using PPE. Education level (p = 0.766) and age (p = 0.147) had no significant relationship with PPE compliance, whereas length of service had a significant relationship (p = 0.046), with workers with longer service tenure tending to be more compliant. These findings indicate that work experience contributes to the formation of safety behavior, requiring attention in OHS program implementation. This study provides an empirical contribution as a foundation for formulating strategies to improve PPE compliance through OHS training, mentoring for new workers, and strengthening field supervision in construction projects.]]>
