This study aimed to determine the relationship between Digital Literacy and Political Critical Attitudes among eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 18 Surakarta in the 2025/2026 academic year. This study employed a quantitative approach using a correlational method. The population consisted of 251 eighth-grade students, while the sample consisted of 154 students selected through proportional stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a four-point Likert-scale questionnaire and documentation. The research instrument was tested for validity and reliability before being used for the main data collection. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson Product Moment correlation. The results showed that students’ Digital Literacy had a mean score of 45.20 and was categorized as moderate, while Political Critical Attitudes had a mean score of 41.00 and were also categorized as moderate. The Pearson Product Moment correlation test produced a correlation coefficient of 0.551 with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). These results indicate a positive and significant relationship between Digital Literacy and Political Critical Attitudes among students. The correlation coefficient of 0.551 indicates a moderate relationship. Thus, higher levels of Digital Literacy are associated with higher levels of Political Critical Attitudes among students. However, the moderate level of correlation indicates that other factors beyond this study may also be related to the development of students’ Political Critical Attitudes.
