Environmental crises and science education that remains focused on rote memorization pose challenges to the development of eco-literacy among elementary school students. This study aims to analyze the role of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in fostering eco-literacy. The study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method following the PRISMA guidelines, analyzing literature published between 2020 and 2026. The results show that ESD can be integrated through Project-Based Learning (PJBL), Problem-Based Learning (PBL), RADEC, hands-on experiences, technology, and school culture to enhance students’ knowledge, attitudes, skills, and environmentally conscious actions
