Physical fitness is a key indicator of students' health and readiness to learn. Data regarding the gender-based physical fitness profiles of students in the Papua border region specifically using the *Tes Kebugaran Pelajar Nusantara* (TKPN) framework remains limited. This study aimed to outline the physical fitness profiles of male and female students at SMP Negeri 3 Arso 6, Papua, based on TKPN standards. A quantitative, cross-sectional research design was employed. The sample consisted of 40 students aged 13–15 (20 males and 20 females) selected via purposive sampling. Measurements included Body Mass Index (BMI), V-Sit and Reach, Sit-Up Test, Squat Thrust Test, and the PACER Test. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and percentages referenced against TKPN norms. The results indicated that the majority of students possessed good nutritional status. Male students demonstrated superior performance in flexibility, cardiorespiratory endurance, and abdominal muscle endurance, whereas female students showed better performance in leg muscle endurance. These findings provide an overview of gender-based physical fitness profiles within the local Papuan context and offer preliminary information for developing fitness programs tailored to the students' specific characteristics.
