This study aimed to determine the effect of the traditional Engklek game on the learning outcomes of Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) of Grade IV students at SDN 064958 Medan. This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in the material on variations of basic movement skills, including walking, running, jumping, and throwing, as well as the lack of learning variations that could increase students’ participation during the learning process. The traditional Engklek game was chosen as an alternative learning activity because it contains movement elements that are relevant to PJOK materials and can create an active and enjoyable learning environment. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 30 Grade IV students at SDN 064958 Medan selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through cognitive and skill-based learning achievement tests administered before and after the treatment. The data were analyzed using a normality test and a paired sample t-test. The results showed that the mean pretest score of 51.67 increased to 79.83 in the posttest. The hypothesis testing results indicated that tcount was higher than ttable (16.874 > 2.045) at a significance level of 0.05; therefore, H₀ was rejected and Ha was accepted. It can be concluded that the traditional Engklek game had a significant effect on the PJOK learning outcomes of Grade IV students at SDN 064958 Medan.
