This classroom action research aimed to improve the learning outcomes of third-grade elementary school pupils on the topic of animal metamorphosis through Project Based Learning (PjBL) assisted by YouTube videos. The research involved 28 pupils and was conducted in three stages: pre-cycle, Cycle I, and Cycle II. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and learning-outcome tests, then analyzed descriptively using total scores, means, minimum and maximum scores, and the proportion of pupils reaching the predetermined Learning Objective Achievement Criterion (KKTP) of 75. The results showed a progressive improvement. The mean score increased from 61.71 in the pre-cycle to 75.96 in Cycle I and 82.68 in Cycle II. The number of pupils reaching the KKTP increased from 10 (35.71%) to 21 (75.00%) and then to 24 (85.71%), while the number of pupils who had not reached it decreased from 18 to 7 and finally to 4. These findings indicate that YouTube video-assisted PjBL was accompanied by improved learning outcomes in this classroom context. The results should be interpreted as a classroom-level improvement rather than as evidence that the video alone caused the change, because the intervention combined PjBL, video, teacher guidance, project activities, assessment, and reflection.
