This study examines changes in teacher professionalism in the era of Generative Artificial Intelligence by focusing on pedagogical competence, professional ethics, and professional development, while connecting recent international findings with the Indonesian teaching context. Method: A systematic literature review was conducted on ten selected journal articles published between 2023 and 2026, consisting of studies on Generative AI and teacher development, pedagogical competence, teaching skills, teacher performance assessment, professional regulation, and legal protection for teachers. Results: The synthesis shows that teacher professionalism in the GenAI era requires more than technical ability to operate digital tools because teachers must also be able to design learning, verify AI-generated information, recognize bias and hallucination, protect academic integrity, maintain professional responsibility, and continuously strengthen their pedagogical judgment. Novelty: This study proposes a connected view of teacher professionalism in which conventional pedagogical competence and Indonesian professional standards are extended by AI literacy, critical evaluation, ethical reasoning, reflective practice, and structured professional learning, without placing technological capability above teachers’ educational judgment
