Tempe waste management is one approach that can be implemented to reduce potential environmental pollution while increasing the value of residual production materials. The ECO-TEMPE program was conducted as a community service activity aimed at providing knowledge and practical experience regarding the utilization of tempe waste to produce dishwashing soap. The activity was conducted on August 13, 2026, in Cinagrog Hamlet, North Malingping Village, Malingping District, Lebak Regency, involving 21 participants from Cinagrog, Cibogoh, Grilaya, Cilanggeng, Warung Haseum, and Cikadu hamlets. The method consisted of socialization and hands-on practice, including an introduction to tempe waste, an explanation of the tools and materials, a demonstration of the dishwashing soap production process, hands-on practice, finishing, packaging, and a question-and-answer session. The results showed that participants gained an understanding of the potential utilization of tempe waste and direct experience in processing it into a useful product. The activity also introduced the principles of a circular economy through the reuse of residual production materials. However, the activity was not accompanied by quantitative measurements of improvements in participants' knowledge or laboratory testing of the quality and safety of the resulting product. Therefore, further evaluation and continued assistance are needed to ensure the sustainable development of the program.
