Human resource competence is an important aspect in supporting organizational performance, particularly in work environments that require technical and operational capabilities. This study aims to analyze the relationship between employee competence and performance and to identify the extent to which competence contributes to explaining variations in employee performance. This study employed a quantitative approach involving 67 respondents selected from a population of 200 employees. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using simple linear regression, a t-test, and the coefficient of determination. The results showed a competence regression coefficient of 0.730, with a t-value of 11.433 and a significance level of 0.001. The R² value of 0.668 indicates that competence explains 66.8% of the variation in employee performance in the research model. These findings demonstrate a positive and significant relationship between employee competence and performance. The results indicate the importance of developing knowledge, skills, and work attitudes as part of a human resource strategy to improve employee performance.
