This study examines associations of work motivation and work discipline with self-reported employee performance in an Indonesian local-government legislative secretariat. Census data from 50 employees were analyzed using multiple regression. Work motivation (B = .450, β = .520, p = .006) and work discipline (B = .380, β = .410, p = .018) were positively associated with performance. The joint model was significant (F = 18.500, p < .001), with R² = .440 and adjusted R² = .417. Motivation showed the stronger standardized association. Findings support integrated managerial practices combining meaningful goals, fair recognition, clear work standards, and consistent feedback
