This study aimed to develop and validate the Smart Iqra’ Method as a brain therapy-based Qur'anic learning model for children with special needs. A Research and Development (R&D) approach was employed through a six-year longitudinal study (2019–2025), comprising six stages: needs analysis, development of learning formulas, expert validation, product revision, implementation, and evaluation. Qualitative data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation using observation sheets, interview guides, documentation checklists, and expert validation forms. The data were analyzed using the interactive qualitative analysis model involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while the trustworthiness of the findings was established through source triangulation, method triangulation, and expert validation. The findings yielded an adaptive Qur'anic learning model comprising eleven systematic Smart Iqra’ learning formulas that progressively facilitate learners in mastering Qur'anic reading and writing while enhancing emotional regulation, learning readiness, concentration, and neurological engagement. The model was found to be applicable to children with autism, dyslexia, intellectual disabilities, and other developmental conditions. Theoretically, this study contributes to the advancement of neuroeducation-based Islamic education by integrating brain therapy, inclusive education, and Qur'anic pedagogy into a coherent conceptual framework. Socially, the Smart Iqra’ Method provides an innovative and adaptive learning model that promotes more inclusive, accessible, and humanistic Qur'anic education for children with special needs across schools, tahfidz institutions, and community-based Qur'anic learning programs.a
