This study aims to analyze the effect of work discipline and compensation on employee performance at the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Palembang City. This study employed a quantitative method with an associative approach. The population consisted of 72 employees with the status of Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK), and all 72 employees were selected as respondents using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale, while data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression analysis with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics 27. The results showed that work discipline had a positive and significant effect on employee performance (t-count = 2.499 > t-table = 1.666; sig. = 0.015), while compensation also had a positive and significant effect on employee performance (t-count = 3.715 > t-table = 1.666; sig. = 0.000). Furthermore, work discipline and compensation simultaneously had a positive and significant effect on employee performance (F-count = 15.743 > F-table = 3.12; sig. = 0.000), with a contribution of 31.3% (R Square = 0.313). These findings indicate that better work discipline and higher compensation are associated with improved employee performance at the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Palembang City.
