<![CDATA[The empowerment of Tourism Awareness Groups (Kelompok Sadar Wisata or Pokdarwis) is a strategic effort to increase community participation in sustainable regional tourism development. Dumai City has tourism potential that can be developed through strengthening community capacity, improving service quality, and managing tourism destinations based on local potential. However, tourism development still requires support in the form of improved knowledge, skills, creativity, and institutional capacity of tourism awareness groups so that they can play an optimal role in destination management. This community service activity aims to enhance the capacity of Tourism Awareness Groups in Dumai City to support participatory, innovative, and sustainable tourism development. The activity is designed to be implemented through socialization, presentations, interactive discussions, and mentoring on tourism destination management, visitor services, tourism promotion, and strengthening community participation in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and environmental sustainability of tourist destinations. This activity is expected to improve the understanding and skills of Pokdarwis members, strengthen cooperation between local communities and the regional government, and encourage the development of local tourism potential as a source of community economic growth. The empowerment of Pokdarwis is expected not only to improve the quality of tourism destination management but also to foster collective awareness that successful tourism development requires active community participation and collaboration among stakeholders.
