This study reconstructs the origin story of Petungrejo Village, Magetan, and organizes it into an academically grounded storytelling framework. Using a qualitative, participatory design, data were obtained from eight purposively selected knowledge holders, local records, toponyms, ancestral sites, and regional historical sources. Oral accounts were interpreted through IPA-informed thematic analysis and historical triangulation, then reviewed with community representatives. The findings reveal two intersecting trajectories: a religious-pedagogical lineage associated with Ki Ageng Petung and Ki Tamparan, and a territorial-administrative lineage associated with Ki Ageng Mageti and Ki Ageng Sebayi. Their convergence culminated in the 1920 Kasutan consensus. The resulting four-act narrative preserves evidentiary distinctions while making local history accessible for education and future digital heritage communication.
