Elder ministry in urban-fringe churches faces challenges related to formalistic service practices and low congregational awareness of environmental stewardship. This community service program aimed to construct a service ethos for sintua based on the local wisdom of Dalihan Na Tolu through ecotheological praxis at HKBP Ghermenia, Deli Serdang. The program employed a participatory action design and asset-based community development approach involving sintua, church servants’ families, adolescents and youth, confirmation students, and Sunday School children. The interventions were implemented through culturally grounded leadership training, communal drainage cleaning, churchyard improvement, and ornamental plant cultivation. Qualitative data were analyzed through observation, documentation, participant feedback, and source triangulation. The findings indicate that the internalization of Somba Marhulahula, Manat Mardongan Tubu, and Elek Marboru strengthened the service ethos of sintua by fostering humility, communication, and participation. Cross-generational faith formation enhanced religious engagement, while ecological actions translated responsibility for creation into collective practices. The program demonstrates that contextualizing local wisdom can strengthen pastoral leadership while fostering congregational ecological solidarity in a sustainable manner.
