The increasing prevalence of gadgets in children's lives offers benefits for learning, information gathering, and entertainment; however, excessive use can lead to addiction risks and displace other activities essential for child development. Furthermore, easy internet access exposes children to age-inappropriate digital content. This activity aimed to raise awareness and understanding among children in Belakang Pondok Village regarding the dangers of gadget addiction and the risks associated with inappropriate digital content. The activity was conducted from August 22–24, 2026, employing a direct education method with a participatory approach. It comprised three stages: an introduction and presentation on wise gadget usage; education on the dangers of excessive use and inappropriate content; and the reinforcement of understanding and evaluation through Q&A sessions and material recaps. The results indicated that participants engaged well with the program, actively participating in discussions and Q&A sessions, and gained an understanding of the importance of limiting gadget use, maintaining a balance in daily activities, and selecting age-appropriate content. Delivering the material in a gradual, simple, and interactive manner helped participants grasp the dangers of excessive gadget use and the risks of accessing inappropriate digital content. In conclusion, educating children early about the dangers of gadget addiction and inappropriate content is crucial for fostering a healthy, safe, wise, and responsible approach to gadget usage.
