This study aimed to develop an Augmented Reality-based diorama learning medium for teaching changes in Earth’s conditions to improve the learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school students, assessed in terms of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, consisting of Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The subjects were 33 fifth-grade students in Class V-B at SDN Pakis V Surabaya. Data were collected through questionnaires and tests. The results showed that the developed Augmented Reality-based diorama learning medium met the criteria for high validity, with validation scores of 91.25% from media experts, 95% from material experts, 93.75% for the pretest items, and 97.50% for the posttest items. In terms of practicality, the media obtained a score of 86.06%, categorized as highly practical. Regarding effectiveness, students’ learning outcomes improved, as indicated by an increase in the mean score from 67.57 on the pretest to 87.27 on the posttest. The N-Gain score of 0.61 indicated a moderate level of improvement. Based on these findings, the Augmented Reality-based diorama learning medium is valid, practical, and effective and is therefore suitable as an innovative learning medium to support the learning process and improve fifth-grade students’ learning outcomes.
