This study aimed to compare students’ ability to write active and passive sentences before and after using flashcard media. The study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a one-shot case study design, in which students were administered a pretest, received treatment using flashcards as a learning medium, and were subsequently administered a posttest. The subjects were 17 third-grade students from Class III B at SDN Pisangcandi 1. Data were collected through tests and analyzed descriptively and comparatively using a t-test with the assistance of JASP. The results showed a significant difference in students’ ability to write active and passive sentences before and after the implementation of flashcard-based learning media. Hypothesis testing using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test yielded a p-value of 0.017 (p < 0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that flashcard media is effective for implementation in learning to improve students’ ability to write active and passive sentences. These findings indicate that flashcards can provide an engaging learning medium for supporting elementary students’ understanding and writing of active and passive sentence structures.
