Safety at level crossings remains a significant concern in the railway transportation system due to the high risk of accidents influenced by road user behavior, infrastructure conditions, and the limited reach of conventional safety outreach. This community service initiative aimed to develop a level-crossing safety campaign through digital and social media to broaden the reach of safety education and enhance public safety literacy. The program was implemented in four stages: preparation, data collection and material development, content production and publication, and evaluation and reporting. Data were obtained through a documentary review of accident data and relevant regulations, complemented by observations at several level crossings in Madiun and Semarang. The campaign produced five pieces of content, comprising two articles published on Kompasiana and Kumparan and three educational videos on TikTok. The results showed that the content collectively reached more than 10,000 viewers, with the video “Menerobos di Perlintasan Sebidang” achieving the highest reach of more than 7,000 viewers. These findings indicate that a multiplatform and multiformat strategy can rapidly expand the dissemination of safety messages through complementary communication channels. However, changes in public understanding and behavior could not be fully measured because the evaluation remained predominantly based on content-reach indicators. This approach may serve as a strategic alternative for supporting evidence-based public education on compliance and safety at level crossings.
