Adolescent mental health is an important issue in education and psychology. According to the World Health Organization (2025), approximately 14.3% of adolescents aged 10-19 years experience mental health problems, with anxiety being one of the most common conditions. In Indonesia, the Ministry of Health's Free Health Check (CKG) program (2026) found that nearly 10% of screened children showed indications of mental health disorders. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of bubble wrap media therapy in reducing anxiety levels among ninth-grade students at SMP Negeri 3 Meulaboh, West Aceh Regency. A quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design was employed. The sample consisted of 60 respondents, including 30 students in the Intervention group and 30 in the control group. Anxiety levels were measured using the DASS-21 questionnaire and analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test. The median post-intervention anxiety score was 34.00 (25-50) in the intervention group and 36.00 (25-71) in the control group. The Mann-Whitney test showed p = 0.318 (p>0.05), indicating no statistically significant difference between the two groups. Bubble wrap media therapy was not statistically effective in reducing anxiety levels but may serve as a simple relaxation technique for further investigation.
