Smoking exerts detrimental effects on the body, notably by elevating oxidative stress, which, if not properly managed, may contribute to various pathophysiological conditions, including cardiovaskular. Boroko leaves are recognized as a traditional herbal remedy believed to possess therapeutic potential for multiple ailments; however, their application in healthcare requires scientific validation to confirm their efficacy. This study was conducted to analyze the phytochemical content of the ethanol extract of Boroko leaves (EDB) and to evaluate its effects on hematological parameters in cigarette smoke–exposed white rats. A randomized experimental design was employed, consisting of five treatment groups with five replications each: K1 (normal control), K2 (cigarette-exposed control), K3 (cigarette + EDB 100 mg/kg BW), K4 (cigarette + EDB 200 mg/kg BW), and K5 (cigarette + EDB 400 mg/kg BW). Antioksidan of EDB was evaluated using DPPH method and Hematological parameters were measured using a hematology analyzer, Data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA. The findings indicated that EDB administration was associated with modulation of erythrocyte and leukocyte counts in cigarette smoke-exposed rats. However, no significant differences were observed in hemoglobin, hematocrit, and platelet levels among the treatment groups.
