This study aims to determine the improvement in the understanding of students at SDN Puntik Luar 2 regarding basic locomotor movements through the use of flashcards. This study is a pre-experimental study using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of a third-grade class with 25 students. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The research instrument used was a written test. Data analysis was conducted quantitatively using Microsoft Excel by calculating the mean, score difference, and improvement in understanding using the N-Gain formula. The results of this study indicate that the use of flashcards can improve understanding of basic locomotor movements. This is evident from the increase in students’ mean scores from 4.6 on the pre-test to 8.24 on the post-test, with a difference of 3.64. Improvement was also evident in the number of correct answers: 119 on the pre-test (average 11.9) increased to 197 on the post-test (average 19.7). The N-Gain calculation yielded a value of 0.7, which falls into the high category. This study demonstrates that the use of flashcard media can improve students’ understanding of basic locomotor movements at SDN Puntik Luar 2.
