<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the low level of understanding among Grade IV students of MIS Alwashliyah Janji Matogu regarding the meaning and content of Surah Al-Ma'un, despite the Al-Qur'an Hadith teacher having implemented various learning strategies. The gap between the teacher's efforts and students' comprehension outcomes forms the departure point of this study. This research aims to: (1) identify the strategies used by the Al-Qur'an Hadith teacher in improving students' understanding of Surah Al-Ma'un; (2) examine the implementation of those learning strategies; and (3) determine the level of Grade IV students' understanding of Surah Al-Ma'un following the teacher's implementation of learning strategies. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive qualitative research design. Data sources consist of the Al-Qur'an Hadith teacher, six Grade IV students, and the school principal as informants. Data were collected through passive participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation study. Data analysis followed the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña (2014), encompassing data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data credibility was ensured through source triangulation and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that: (1) the teacher applies direct instruction through three sequential techniques oral explanation and reading demonstration, gradual memorization accompanied by meaning comprehension, and writing of Qur'anic script as psychomotor reinforcement; (2) the implementation of strategies occurs across three continuous phases preparation and opening, core instruction, and evaluation and follow-up characterized by a responsive and adaptive approach supported by a sustained formative assessment system; (3) students' level of understanding varies but is generally positive, with concrete evidence of behavioral changes in students' daily lives as a manifestation of the internalization of Surah Al-Ma'un's values.]]>
