Abstract

Background: Gender-based violence (GBV) remains a significant social issue in Indonesia, while limited digital literacy and concerns regarding privacy continue to hinder survivors' access to digital reporting and support services. Accessible digital literacy education is therefore essential to promote digital inclusion and improve the safe utilization of technology.Aims: This community service program aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of digital literacy and technology education integrated with the KILASAN (Kita Lapor Kekerasan) platform in improving participants' digital competencies and readiness to utilize digital reporting services. Methods: A quantitative one-group pre-test–post-test design was employed with 30 community participants from Meruya Utara Village, West Jakarta, selected through purposive sampling. Participants completed a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire before and after the intervention. The program included digital literacy education, KILASAN platform demonstrations, guided practice, and interactive discussions. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and comparative analysis of pre-test and post-test scores.Result: The overall mean score increased from 3.66 (pre-test) to 4.65 (post-test), indicating improved digital literacy after the intervention. The greatest improvement was observed in participants' understanding of inclusive technology for GBV survivors, while digital privacy remained the highest-scoring indicator. Participants also demonstrated increased confidence in utilizing the KILASAN platform for education and digital reporting. Conclusion: Integrating digital literacy education with the KILASAN platform effectively enhanced participants' digital competencies, promoted digital inclusion, and strengthened community awareness of safe technology utilization for GBV prevention and reporting.
