Edamame (Glycine max L.) is a horticultural crop with high economic value, with a short harvest period and increasing market demand. The intensive use of chemical fertilizers can increase production costs and potentially reduce the sustainability of soil quality. The use of fish waste as raw material for liquid organic fertilizer is an alternative to organic waste management that has the potential to produce valuable agricultural inputs. This study aims to (1) characterize the amino acid content of POCARIKAN, (2) evaluate the growth response and edamame yield to POCARIKAN application, and (3) describe the comparison of plant responses in POCARIKAN, NPK, and POCARIKAN–NPK combinations. The research was conducted on an open-air experimental field with four treatments: control, POCARIKAN, POCARIKAN–NPK, and NPK. Amino acid content was analyzed using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), while plant data were analyzed descriptively based on average values. The results showed that POCARIKAN contained L-Alanine (4.49%), L-Glutamic acid (4.13%), L-Aspartic acid (4.05%), L-Leucine (3.26%), and L-Glycine (3.08%). POCARIKAN yielded a plant height of 55.25 cm and a plant weight of 177.93 g, compared to controls of 41.71 cm and 104.53 g. The number and weight of POCARIKAN pods reached 73 pods and 108.53 g, respectively, while the control had 63 pods and 82.46 g. POCARIKAN showed competitive performance on several parameters compared to NPK. The use of fish waste as POCARIKAN has the potential to be an alternative organic input and support the use of organic resources in sustainable agriculture.
