Technological advancements have ushered the world into the Society 5.0 era—a human-centric societal concept that balances economic progress with the resolution of social issues through the integration of cyberspace and physical space. A crucial aspect of this digital transformation is product digitalization, which encompasses the processes of creating, modifying, or distributing products and services using digital technologies. The 10 Ulu Urban Village in Palembang City, as part of the urban ecosystem, features unique MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) that are often based on local or traditional products. This research is highly urgent because MSMEs in 10 Ulu urgently need to adapt quickly to the demands of the Society 5.0 era; however, there is a knowledge gap regarding the specific mechanisms by which product digitalization effectively strengthens their local competitiveness. The objective of this research is to conduct an in-depth analysis and measure the causal impact of product digitalization on various dimensions of MSME competitiveness, as well as to identify the factors that hinder or facilitate this process. The targeted output for this research is a publication in a SINTA-4 accredited journal. Keywords: MSMEs, Digitalization, Competitiveness, Society 5.0 Era, Products
