The development of digital technology has encouraged the increasing adoption of remote work and the growing importance of digital leadership in managing freelance workers. However, studies integrating these two variables in relation to performance remain limited. This study aims to analyze the effect of remote work and digital leadership on freelance worker performance. This study uses Organizational Behavior Theory, Transformational Leadership Theory, and Goal-Setting Theory as its theoretical foundations. A quantitative approach with an explanatory research design was employed. Primary data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to 166 freelance workers working remotely in Indonesia using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 3. The results show that remote work has a significant effect on freelance worker performance. This indicates that better implementation of remote work systems, such as flexibility in working time and location and the utilization of digital technology, leads to higher performance among freelance workers. In addition, digital leadership has a significant effect on freelance worker performance. This indicates that leaders’ ability to utilize digital technology, establish effective communication, and provide direction and support to workers can improve freelance worker performance.
