Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the use of audiovisual media has a significant effect on the passing ability of students in futsal extracurricular activities at Senior High School 2 Cikarang Utara. This research utilized a quantitative experimental approach with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population consisted of 50 tenth-grade students in the futsal program, with a sample of 30 students selected through purposive sampling and divided into an experimental group (, receiving YouTube-based audiovisual instruction combined with passing drills) and a control group (, receiving conventional instruction). Passing ability was evaluated using the modified Loughborough Soccer Passing Test. Data were normally distributed based on the Shapiro-Wilk test () and satisfied variance homogeneity via Levene's test (). Statistical analysis using the independent samples t-test revealed a significant improvement in the posttest scores of the experimental group compared to the control group (, two-tailed). Specifically, the posttest mean score of the experimental group reached , which was substantially higher than the control group’s score of , yielding a mean difference of . In conclusion, the integration of YouTube-based audiovisual media is proven to be significantly effective in enhancing students' futsal passing skills by improving movement comprehension and execution during practice.
