Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Seven Habits of Great Indonesian Children in children aged 5-6 years at Talenta Persada Kindergarten, analyze the teacher's role in its implementation, and identify supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of these habits. The seven habits that are the focus of this study include waking up early, praying, exercising, eating healthy and nutritious food, loving to learn, socializing, and going to bed early. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive qualitative research type. The research subjects consisted of the principal, teachers, and children aged 5-6 years, with parents serving as additional sources of information. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing and verifying conclusions. Data validity was ensured through triangulation of sources, techniques, and time. The findings reveal that the implementation of the seven habits is carried out in an integrated manner through daily routines, learning activities, and special school programs such as Religion Class, daily exercise, the Free Nutritious Meal program, cooking class, and social activities. Teachers act as role models, guides, facilitators, motivators, and reinforcement managers. The main supporting factors include teacher role modeling, consistency of habituation, and synergy with parents, while inhibiting factors include inconsistency in parenting patterns and uncontrolled gadget use. This research contributes to the development of character education in early childhood in the digital era.
