<![CDATA[Students must develop foundational technological competencies, particularly in operating digital devices and basic software applications. In primary education, mastering Microsoft Word represents an essential skill. This initiative aimed to enhance primary school students’ proficiency in Microsoft Word through practical training and direct instructional guidance. Using a participatory learning-by-doing approach, the program involved 38 participants, divided equally into an experimental group of 19 students and a control group of 19 students. The instructional activities included theoretical instruction, practical demonstrations, guided exercises, individual support, and comprehensive assessments through pre- and post-testing. Skill acquisition was measured using normalized gain metrics. Data normality was assessed using the Shapiro-Wilk test, while differences in skill improvement between the experimental and control groups were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test. The normality test produced values of 0.527 for the experimental group and 0.000 for the control group. The Mann-Whitney U test indicated a statistically significant difference in skill improvement between the groups (p = 0.002). The experimental group achieved a Mean Rank of 25.08, compared with 13.92 for the control group, indicating greater skill acquisition among trained students. These findings confirm that practice-based training with direct guidance substantially improves elementary students’ Microsoft Word operational skills.]]>
