<![CDATA[The transformation of land administration from conventional systems to digital systems through the implementation of electronic land certificates is an effort to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, transparency, and legal certainty of land services. This study aims to analyze the implementation of land registration administration in the digital era and examine the legal and technical challenges in implementing electronic land certificates in Indonesia. This research employs a normative juridical method using statutory, conceptual, and case approaches. Primary and secondary legal materials were collected through library research and analyzed using a qualitative-descriptive method. The results show that land administration digitalization provides benefits in accelerating services, improving data security and traceability, integrating land information, and reducing the risk of document forgery and manipulation. However, its implementation continues to face several challenges, including disharmony between the Basic Agrarian Law and land registration regulations and the provisions governing electronic documents, as well as inadequate validation and synchronization of physical and juridical data, limited technological infrastructure, data security concerns, human resource capacity, and low digital literacy among the public. These conditions indicate that land administration digitalization has not yet fully achieved legal certainty and legal protection as mandated by Article 19 of the Basic Agrarian Law. Therefore, regulatory harmonization, infrastructure and system security improvements, data quality enhancement, and continuous development of the competencies of government officials and public digital literacy are necessary to establish a modern, secure, transparent, and legally certain land administration system.]]>
