The phenomenon of adolescents growing up without a father figure is not uncommon. This situation can be triggered by various factors, such as divorce, family conflict, the death of the father, or the father working away from home. In Gulbung Village, the "fatherless" phenomenon arises from several factors: the father's death, migration for work, parental divorce, and fathers abandoning their families without a trace. This phenomenon is evident in the daily lives of adolescents in the area; some are socially withdrawn, others prefer staying within specific peer groups, and some frequently spend the night at friends' homes. This study aims to determine the existence and magnitude of the relationship between the fatherless condition and the emotional and social development of adolescents in Gulbung Village, Sampang. A quantitative approach using the partial correlation method was employed with 300 respondents selected via purposive sampling. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS version 29,0. The results indicate a positive and significant relationship between the fatherless condition and both emotional development (r = 0,591; p = 0,000) and social development (r = 0,671; p = 0,000). When social development was controlled for, the partial correlation between the fatherless condition and emotional development decreased to 0,258 but remained significant. Thus, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, indicating a significant relationship between the fatherless condition and the emotional and social development of adolescents in Gulbung Village, Sampang.
