This research is a library study, involving the selection, reading, examination, and analysis of books and other written sources relevant to the topic. By surveying the available literature, the researcher compiles and synthesizes the findings into a coherent scientific report. The results show that “contextual meaning” refers to the meaning of a word or lexeme as it appears within a particular sentence, and that it is influenced by four types of context: linguistic context, situational context, emotional context, and cultural context. In the case of Surah Al‑Fajr, the researcher identified several manifestations of contextual meaning within its verses. The linguistic context includes the use of oath formulas, warning rhetoric directed at rebellious peoples, and invitational language calling upon the obedient servants of God. Based on this analysis, the researcher concludes that Surah Al‑Fajr contains: (1) God’s oaths by various times of day, (2) admonitions to past nations who disobeyed and were subsequently punished by Allah, and (3) exhortations to those servants who submit to and are beloved by Allah.
