This study aims to determine: 1) the level of critical thinking skills of ninth-grade students at SMPN 6 Makassar before and after the implementation of the ReCODE E-Module based on the local wisdom of the Kajang community, 2) the improvement in students' critical thinking skills after the implementation of the E-Module, and 3) the significance of the improvement in students' critical thinking skills. The study employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 32 students selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments were 25 critical thinking test items and analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed: 1) students' critical thinking skills improved from the low category (average score of 10.28) to the high category (average score of 21.25), 2) the improvement was in the high category with an N-Gain of 0.74, and 3) a statistically significant increase with a significance value (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05, so H₀ is rejected and H₁ is accepted. The ReCODE E-Module based on the local wisdom of the Kajang community has been proven effective in improving students' critical thinking skills.
