<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the level and improvement of critical thinking skills of class VII UPT SPF SMPN 33 Makassar students after the application of the PBL model integrated with the STEM approach. This research is a pre-experimental study with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design research design. The population of this study were all students of class VII UPT SPF SMPN 33 Makassar as many as 9 classes with a total of 284 students. Sampling through purposive sampling technique so as to obtain class VII F with a total of 31 students. The research instrument was a critical thinking skills test. Data were analyzed with descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of descriptive analysis obtained the average pretest score of 12.81 is in the low category while the average posttest score of 32.48 is in the high category and the average N-Gain of 0.52 is in the medium category. The results of the inferential analysis with the t-test obtained tcount = 15.647> ttable 2.045, it can be concluded that there is an increase in critical thinking skills after the application of the problem-based learning (PBL) model integrated with the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) approach.]]>
