<![CDATA[Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survey yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan kognitif peserta didik kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 10 Makassar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 10 Makassar tahun ajaran 2021/2022 dengan jumlah sampel 158 orang yang terdiri dari lima kelas. Alat pengumpul data menggunakan intrumen tes pada mata pelajaran fisika kelas XI materi termodinamika. Aspek yang diukur dalam penelitian ini yaitu kemampuan kognitif dimensi proses dan dimensi pengetahuan. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan analisis statistik deskriktif menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan kognitif peserta didik pada dimensi pengetahuan konseptual berada pada kategori sedang, pengetahuan procedural berada pada kategori rendah. Pada dimensi proses menerapkan(C3) berada pada kategori sedang, menganalisis(C4) berada pada kategori sangat rendah, mengevaluasi(C5) berada pada kategori sedang, dan mencipta(C6) berada pada kategori sangat rendah. Secara keseluruhan, skor rata-rata hasil tes kemampuan kognitif peserta didik berada pada kategori rendah. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 10 Makassar in the academic year 2021/2022 with a total sample of 158 people consisting of five classes The research subjects were all 245 students of class XI of SMA Negeri 10 Makassar. The sampling technique in this study used the Slovin formula with a significant level of 5%, resulting in 152 samples. The data collection tool uses a test instrument on the physics subject of class XI thermodynamics material. Aspects that are measured in this study are cognitive abilities, process dimensions and knowledge dimensions. The results of the study based on descriptive statistical analysis showed that the cognitive abilities of students on the dimensions of conceptual knowledge were in the medium category, procedural knowledge was in the low category. The dimensions of the process of applying (C3) are in the medium category, analyzing (C4) is in the very low category, evaluating (C5) is in the medium category, and creating (C6) is in the very low category. Overall, the average score of the students' cognitive ability test results is in the low category.
