ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN MENGINTERPRETASI GRAFIK PESERTA DIDIK KELAS XI MIA DI SMAN 7 LUWU TIMUR

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode survey yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan menginterpretasi grafik peserta didik kelas XI MIA di SMA Negeri 7 Luwu Timur pada Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah variabel tunggal yaitu kemampuan menginterpretasi grafik. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI MIA di SMA Negeri 7 Luwu Timur pada Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021, sedangkan sampelnya sebanyak 60 peserta didik yang dipilih secara acak. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh dengan memberikan tes kemampuan menginterpretasi grafik pada materi elastisitas dan juga hukum Hooke kepada peserta didik kelas XI MIA di SMA Negeri 7 Luwu. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh bahwa kemampuan menginterpretasi grafik peserta didik kelas XI MIA di SMAN 7 Luwu Timur berada pada kategori sedang. salah satu kesulitan yang dialami peserta didik dalam menentukan besaran dari grafik adalah peserta didik tidak mengetahui rumus yang tepat digunakan untuk menyelesaikan soal sehingga peserta didik hanya menuliskan rumus yang dianggap benar. Kata Kunci: Elastisitas dan hukum Hooke, Grafik, Interpretasi, Kemampuan menginterpretasi grafik.   This research is a descriptive quantitative research using a survey method that aims to describe the ability to interpret graphs of class XI MIA students at SMA Negeri 7 Luwu Timur in the 2020/2021 Academic Year. The variable in this study is a single variable, namely the ability to interpret graphs. The population in this study were all class XI MIA students at SMA Negeri 7 Luwu Timur in the 2020/2021 Academic Year, while the sample was 60 students who were selected randomly. The research data were obtained by giving a test of the ability to interpret graphs on the material of elasticity and also Hooke's law to class XI MIA students at SMA Negeri 7 Luwu. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics. Based on the results of the data analysis, it was found that the ability to interpret graphs of class XI MIA students at SMAN 7 Luwu Timur was in the moderate category. One of the difficulties experienced by students in determining the magnitude of the graph was that students did not know the correct formula used to solve the problem so that students only wrote the formula that was considered correct.
