Abstract

This study aims to examine the digital transformation and management challenges faced by Muncar Vocational Training Center (BLK) in facing the Education 5.0 era, which emphasizes technology integration and a human-centric approach in the learning process. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews with stakeholders, direct observation of training implementation, and analysis of official institutional documents. The results show that despite an initial commitment to digitalization, BLK Muncar faces significant barriers, ranging from limited infrastructure and instructor competencies, to a curriculum that is not yet responsive to industry 5.0 needs. In addition, policy documentation does not yet fully reflect managerial readiness to implement digital transformation as a whole. The learning environment and evaluation methods also do not support interactive and collaborative learning practices. The contribution of this research lies in systemically mapping the factors inhibiting digitalization in vocational training institutions, and offering practical implications for policy makers in designing a more structured, participatory and sustainable digital transformation strategy in the Education 5.0 era
