Optimal instructional time management and student learning focus are critical factors in enhancing the effectiveness of Islamic Education (PAI) learning. However, in practice, time constraints are still found due to the dominance of writing activities and low student focus; therefore, this study aims to analyze the role of PAI teachers in optimizing instructional time and increasing student learning focus at SD Muhammadiyah 014 Pulau Payung. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type, involving PAI teachers, the school principal, and students as informants at SD Muhammadiyah 014 Pulau Payung. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis used an interactive model including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, validated through source and method triangulation. The results show that: PAI teachers optimize instructional time through material summaries and effective classroom management, teachers increase student focus through varied strategies like ice breaking and discussions, the obstacles faced include time limitations and low student activity, and the solutions involve more condensed material and active learning methods. This study concludes that the role of PAI teachers is highly strategic in optimizing instructional time and increasing student learning focus through efficient time management and the application of varied teaching methods, thereby creating an effective and meaningful learning process
