The development of artificial intelligence technology has given rise to algorithmic trading systems that operate automatically within the Indonesian capital market. This phenomenon presents new juridical challenges in the context of sharia compliance, considering the absence of regulations that explicitly govern algorithmic trading within the framework of Islamic economic law. This study aims to analyze the aspects of sharia compliance in algorithmic stock trading activities based on the regulations of the Indonesian Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan/OJK), fatwas issued by the National Sharia Council of the Indonesian Ulema Council (Dewan Syariah Nasional Majelis Ulama Indonesia/DSN-MUI), and the principles of fiqh muamalah. Employing a normative juridical approach with descriptive-analytical analysis, this research finds that algorithmic trading contains potential violations related to the prohibitions of gharar, maysir, and market manipulation, all of which contradict sharia principles. Nevertheless, through the implementation of appropriate sharia screening mechanisms and adequate regulatory supervision, algorithmic trading can be integrated into the Indonesian sharia capital market ecosystem. This study recommends the issuance of a specific DSN-MUI fatwa concerning algorithmic trading, as well as the strengthening of OJK regulations to ensure sharia compliance in financial technology innovation
