This study aims to analyze the role of social media in women's empowerment in the digital era. The research employed a descriptive qualitative library research approach by reviewing various literature sources, scholarly articles, and relevant references discussing the relationship between social media and women's empowerment. The findings reveal that social media contributes significantly to enhancing women's digital literacy, expanding access to information and education, supporting the development of women-owned micro-enterprises through digital marketing, and strengthening social participation and community networks. Furthermore, social media provides a platform for women to express their aspirations and advocate for gender equality. However, its utilization is still challenged by limited digital literacy, the spread of misinformation, and the risk of gender-based violence in digital spaces. The implications of this study highlight the need for strengthening digital literacy programs, creating safe and inclusive digital environments, and developing supportive policies that encourage the sustainable use of social media for women's empowerment. Therefore, social media can serve as a strategic instrument to enhance women's independence, well-being, and participation in social and economic development
