Fever is a physiological response of the body that can be treated using antipyretic agents, both synthetic and natural ingredients. Sampare leaves (Glochidion sp.) have empirically demonstrated potential pharmacological activities, including as antipyretics, but the evidence for these activities still needs to be scientifically studied. This study aims to determine the antipyretic activity of the extract of Glochidion sp. in mice based on the difference in antipyretic response between treatment groups at several measurement times. The study was conducted using mice divided into positive control, negative control, and Glochidion sp. extract groups with doses of 100, 200, and 400 mg/kg BW. Antipyretic response measurements were performed at the 30th, 60th, 90th, and 120th minutes. Analysis of differences between groups was carried out using a post hoc LSD test with a significance level of p < 0.05. The results showed that the entire dose of the extract differed significantly compared to the negative control at the entire time of measurement with p < 0.001. In positive controls, significant differences were found at multiple doses and became more consistent at the 90th and 120th minutes. Based on these results, extract of Glochidion sp. showed potential as an antipyretic agent in mice, with a response that became more pronounced as the observation time increased.
