Abstract

Urinary stone disease is a disease that causes a large public health burden, with patient complaints varying widely depending on the location of the stone. This study aims to determine the profile of complaints in urinary stone patients based on stone location at RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang. This research was a descriptive study using a cross-sectional approach utilizing secondary data from special medical records of 60 patients from the 2018–2019 period who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data analysis was performed univariately to determine the frequency distribution. The results showed that the majority of patients were male (66.7%), with the most common age group being 46–55 years (36.7%). The most frequent complaint found was dull pain in the waist (41.7%). Stones were most commonly found in the kidneys (73.3%), and no stones were found in the urethra (0.0%). The most common complaint in kidney stone patients was dull pain in the waist (50.0%), in ureteral stone patients was colicky pain (45.5%), and in bladder stone patients was micturition complaints (60.0%).
