The utilization of local feed resources as natural feed additives is an important strategy for improving the efficiency of high-fiber feed utilization in ruminants. Binahong leaves (Anredera cordifolia) contain bioactive compounds, including flavonoids, saponins, and antioxidants, which have the potential to influence rumen microbial activity and nutrient digestibility. However, scientific information on their use as feed additives for ruminants remains limited. This study aimed to evaluate the potential of binahong leaves to improve feed digestibility in vitro. The study was conducted from July to September 2025 in the Ruminant Nutrition Laboratory using a randomized block design consisting of four treatments and four blocks as replications. The basal diet consisted of 50% ammoniated rice straw and 50% concentrate, supplemented with binahong leaves at levels of 0%, 3%, 6%, and 9%. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance followed by Duncan’s multiple range test. The addition of binahong leaves significantly affected (p<0.05) dry matter, organic matter, and crude protein digestibility. Digestibility values tended to increase with increasing supplementation levels and reached the highest values at the 9% level, namely 61.91%, 63.92%, and 71.09%, respectively. The addition of binahong leaves up to 9% in a diet based on ammoniated rice straw improved dry matter, organic matter, and crude protein digestibility in vitro.
