The cleanliness of public cemeteries is an important aspect of maintaining environmental quality, community comfort, and preserving social, cultural, and religious values. However, the lack of regular maintenance may lead to the overgrowth of weeds, bushes, and the accumulation of waste, reducing the comfort of visitors. This community service program aimed to improve the cleanliness and tidiness of the public cemetery in Gelumbang Village, South Bengkulu Regency, while fostering public awareness of the importance of maintaining public facilities through the spirit of mutual cooperation (gotong royong). A participatory approach was employed, involving Community Service Program (KKN) students, village officials, community leaders, and local residents. The implementation consisted of observation, coordination, task allocation, cemetery cleaning, evaluation, and documentation. The results indicated a high level of community participation, enabling all activities to be carried out effectively. The cemetery became cleaner, tidier, and more comfortable, accompanied by increased public awareness of environmental maintenance and stronger community collaboration. Furthermore, the program contributed to strengthening the culture of gotong royong as an important form of social capital for rural development. Therefore, similar activities are recommended to be conducted regularly to maintain the cleanliness of public cemeteries and support the realization of a clean, healthy, and sustainable village environment.
